KidSplit (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect:
- First name of the initiating parent
- State of residence
- Email address of the initiating parent
- Email address of the second parent
We do not store the full names of both parents, children’s full names, or dates of birth, except potentially for a short period if required for AI language processing via OpenAI’s API when generating the agreement.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our services
- Contact you about your agreement or account
- Send you updates and offers related to KidSplit
- Send you offers from trusted partners (only by KidSplit, never by giving them your personal information unless you explicitly consent)
3. Partner Marketing
From time to time, KidSplit may send you promotional messages on behalf of carefully selected partners. Your personal information is not shared with these partners unless you opt in to such sharing. All partner marketing emails will be sent directly from KidSplit, and you can opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contacting us at [your contact email].
4. Payment Information
All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
5. Data Retention
We store only the limited information listed above. Data not stored (such as children’s names) is discarded immediately after use unless temporarily retained in AI processing logs, which are managed by OpenAI under their own retention policies.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your information. We may share it with service providers that help us operate our platform (e.g., hosting, payment processing, AI language processing).
7. Your Choices
You can request that we delete your stored information at any time by contacting [your contact email].
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our services are intended for parents, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13.
