KidSplit is a guided platform that helps parents create a custody agreement draft. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. The information, guidance, and draft agreements provided are for informational purposes only and may not be enforceable in court without additional steps.
2. No Legal Advice
All content and tools provided by KidSplit are for informational purposes only. Nothing on this site should be considered legal advice. You should consult a qualified attorney for advice specific to your situation.
3. Legal Binding of Agreements
Agreements created using KidSplit are drafts. To make them legally binding, you must file them with your local family court and obtain court approval. Laws vary by state.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use KidSplit.
5. Accounts and Information You Provide
You agree to provide accurate and truthful information. You are responsible for any information submitted through your account.
6. Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details on our servers.
7. Data Retention and Privacy
We store only the following information for the initiator of an agreement: first name, state, email address, and email address of the second parent. Full names of both parents, children’s full names, and dates of birth are only collected to populate the draft agreement for printing and are not stored, except temporarily if required by third-party AI processing.
8. Limitation of Liability
KidSplit is not responsible for any losses, damages, or disputes arising from the use of our platform. You use KidSplit at your own risk.
9. Marketing and Partner Offers
We may send you information about KidSplit services or offers from trusted partners. These communications will always be sent by KidSplit, and we will never give your personal information to the partner unless you explicitly agree. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
10. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
